Vintage Market

This afternoon I took a trip uptown to explore numerous fascinating shops at The Fillmore, which housed a compelling Vintage Market filled with Charlotte's most talented artist, jewelers, thrifters, and so much more. Thrift includes a significant portion of my home and closet. I absolutely love finding new love in old things, and today I certainly fell in love with each innovative market I ventured to.
Each booth was magical, bearing adorable vintage and handmade items.

One of my favorite of the innovative shops today was, Luce Antica, with fabulous, innovative, industrial lighting.

I find value in making and mending my own things and I personally enjoyed these interesting hand-stitched pieces!

Alas beautifully crafted jewelry from Agate & Elm
I loved the presentation provided, including a lovely arrangement of woodgrain and potted plants.

Overall I had a wonderful time seeing all the local talent and supporting as well by buying a few lovely things while browsing.

Quite Behind Schedule...

SO....
I've been waiting a while to post photos from my fathers day adventure considering I've started a new job, I am currently taking summer classes, and internship/free lance photography and can no longer find any spare time. Instead of trying to have a quick meaningless Fathers day before going off to work on   Sunday morning June 16, I decided to create a card to present to him and demise an adventure we could go on that would engage our mutual music addiction.

Because we didn't get to enjoy fathers day on fathers day I made plans to take my dad out on the town to a local record store where we enjoyed talented artist, rythems and beats. I cultivated a playlist of some of my favorite modern artist including Toro Y Moi and he pulled a number of his favorite oldies for me.

Its interesting to hang-out with your parents as an adult and see parts of yourself in them. My father and I have always been free spirited music lovers among other things. I resemble him in more than appearance and to notice now just how much is enlightening.

One of my favorite attributes me and my father share is our love of music.

Thrifty.

A pleasant outing with Mom...

A few days ago my mother and I decided to go explore in an indoor flea market/consignment mall. This enchanting place was filled with an abundance of antiques and other interesting treasures. We literally wandered around the vicinity for hours inspecting shops with handmade crafts, restored antiques, and luminous trinkets. I was in heaven as I began to envision my future home filled with lovely rustic decorations. It was a delightful afternoon, spending time with my mom just browsing; collecting items and inspiration for upcoming projects.

Ever Lasting Love.

Around two and a half years ago, I fell in love with my best friend. Comfortable and compatible on every level, we've committed to each other by bonding in a spiritual way. Namaste' an gesture of the heart chakra is a value we share between us allowing understanding and freedom. Namaste allows two individuals to come together energetically to a place of connection and timelessness, free from the bonds of ego-connection. If it is done with deep feeling in the heart, while surrendering the ego of mind, a deep union of spirits shall blossom. In honor of my love I have tattooed Namaste in a sacred place as has he, therefore we will always be an affectionate alliance.

"I honor the place in you in which the entire universe dwells. I honor the place in you which is of love, of truth, of light, and of peace. Because of this mutual love and respect we thrive together in unison as one."
