Contemporary Happiness

Spring break has been extremely refreshing; relaxing at home, shopping near by, spending time with family, and little things like the domestic daily routine of living at home. Its to bad breaks are so short, I've just barely begun to enjoy my long leisure spring days.

Some of my favorite things in the store; canvas pillow,  lavender feather printed paper and all purpose boxes.

Nostalgia is settling, as break nears an end.

A new beginning...

Its starting to feel like spring is finally here!
The weather is starting to warm, the flowers have decided to bloom, and the bees have began to buzz; clear indications of the beginning of spring. Soon I'll be packing away my sweaters and knits, and breaking out florals and pastels! I love when the seasons change, and I love being in love with the moment.

P.S. (A few of my pictures were recently entered in a photo contest to vote click HERE

As time flies

This past weekend I celebrated my 19th birthday!
It wasn't a grand occasion, or a bust; it was just seemingly delightful. On Friday (my birthdate), we packed up the car and headed to the lake because it was so nice out. We bathed in the sunshine and watched the men fish, or try to, I should say.

Found a nice surprise in my mailbox today.
Opening cards and presents from friends and family!

An amethyst geode, providing power, sincerity, and spiritual wisdom.

I attended my first on campus job fair this weekend as an assignment for Social Entrepreneurship. There were myriads of people networking harmoniously, myself included. I met a few people and practiced my introduction, or elevator pitch as my teacher might say.

Another year, breezing by...

Maturity has more to do with experience and knowledge, and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

She went into the woods...

With all the stress of studying and such its relaxing to have the lovely contours of the mountains always in the background. Obliged because I never considered my surroundings until moving here. The Smoky's are fascinating to watch, and if you catch it at the right time you can capture them as the sun peaks right over the top. I consider the ambience to be most inspiring, sometimes i just sit outdoors and draw (if its warm enough :).

A stone owl, and a neutral mood.

Blazing, burning, orange and bright.

Serene and Captivating.
I love my mid-home.

These have been relevant in my wardrobe lately.

And finally, the peaceful moon.
Goodnight.

Something New

Recently I got the chance to visit the Jackson County Green Energy Park where they recycle energy for art in various forms including; metal making, glass blowing, and ceramics. Today's demonstration was on the art of glass blowing, a unique skill that requires a lot of heat and concentration! I cherish experiences like this that give me knowledge on novel art forms that I haven't particularly explored. It was delightful to witness the coherent transformation between energy and art; and marvelous that their able to modify recycled energy favorably.

Arranged by color these tins carry glass micro-fibers necessary to create various hues in the glass.

It was interesting and exciting to document the process and see the transformations each step provided!
